New Delhi: Panasonic India on Thursday launched a new fully-rugged, 2-in-1 lightweight Toughbook CF-20 that detaches easily to become a 10.1-inch tablet.

The Rs 2,25,000 (estimated price plus taxes) Toughbook CF-20 is purpose-built for challenging environments, including field services, utilities, oil and gas, transportation and logistics, healthcare, insurance, public safety and defense.

“Aimed to meet the evolving needs of enterprises, the CF-20 is bundled with a broad range of configurable options. The ability to detach the tablet from notebook provides flexibility and unparalled reliability and enterprise-grade features,” Gunjan Sachdev, National Business Head (Toughbook), Panasonic India, told reporters here.

Equipped with Windows 10 Pro, the CF-20 is powered by 6th generation Intel core m5 vPro processor, 128GB SSD and 8GB RAM and an optional bridge battery that allows hot swap battery replacement for continuous use.

Additionally, it sports a glove-enabled touchscreen and purpose-built Vehicle Mount and Desktop Port Replicator, armed to meet all mobile computing needs at extreme conditions.

The Panasonic Toughbook CF-20 will be available in India in August 2016 from authorised Panasonic resellers and is backed by a three-year limited warranty.
