Parking slots for VVIPs at Raj Bhavan

In view of 69th Independence Day celebrations on August 15 (Saturday), the Governor will be hosting a reception (At Home) at Raj Bhavan here at 1730hrs. A large number of dignitaries and guests are expected to attend the program coming in a large number of vehicles. These vehicles will be parked in identified parking places near the Raj Bhavan causing traffic congestion on the following routes from Rajiv Gandhi statue at Somajiguda to Khairatabad Junction i.e. on Raj Bhavan road both sides. Therefore, the commuters using the road are advised to take alternate routes in order to avoid inconvenience from 1630 hours to 2000 hours.

Following is the parking arrangement for guests attending function at Raj Bhavan: All VVIPs including both CMs, Deputy CMs of TS and AP, Chief Justice, High Court, Chairmen of both legislative councils, Speakers of TS and AP, Central Ministers and Ministers of TS and AP will enter through Gate-I and exit through Gate-II. Their vehicles have to be parked at the designated parking lot inside Rajbhavan.

All other guests who are holding pink car passes will enter through Gate 3 and park their vehicles at parking lots of Rajbhavan and exit through the same gate. Guests, who are holding white car passes, are requested to alight at Gate-III entrance and park their vehicles in the parking places at the following parking places.

They are: MMTS Parking lot, Park Hotel near MMTS, single lane parking from Metro Residency to NASR School, Single lane parking from Lake View to V.V Statue Junction opposite lane of Lake View Guest House.

The Additional Commissioner of Police (Traffic) has advised the people to co-operate with traffic police in parking their vehicles in the parking slots designated for them. (NSS)
