Participation of Saudi, Afghan, Iran will boost CPEC: Pakistan

Islamabad [Pakistan]: Pakistan Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal has said his country warmly welcomes the desire of regional nations to participate in the China Pakistan Economic Corridor Project (CPEC).

The Radio Pakistan quoted Iqbal as saying that Afghanistan, Iran and Saudi Arabia, which have expressed their interest in the project, would further augment regional connectivity and cooperation.

Iqbal claimed that the project is in the best interest of the entire region.

CPEC is not limited to China and Pakistan, rather its is aimed at bolstering trade and economic cooperation in the whole region, he said.

Speaking on the reservations shown by different political groups regarding the project, Iqbal said that CPEC remains the most debated project in Parliament and all concerns raised were addressed with nothing hidden about the project. (ANI)
