Passport seva kendra inaugurated at Bikaner post office

Bikaner: Union minister Arjun Ram Meghwal today inaugurated a passport seva kendra at a post office in Bikaner today.

The Union Minister of State for Finance and Corporate Affairs said that the central government has taken this “historic” step of opening passport seva kendras in post offices for people’s convenience.

He said similar kendras will be inaugurated in Jhunjhunu, Kota, Jhalana and Jaisalmer by March 31, which will benefit the people.

He said that government has announced setting up of a crude oil reservoir in Bikaner at the cost of Rs 4,200 crore.

It will provide direct employment to 4,000-5,000 people and will create indirect employment for 10,000-12,000 people, he claimed.

He also promised to set up a ceramic hub in Bikaner.

Meghwal said that the Centre has announced setting up of three post office payment banks in the state.
