Pathankot: An abandoned bag sparked a scare at the Pathankot railway station and an operation is underway to neutralise the situation.
An alert was sounded after the police found the bag following which the railway station was evacuated immediately.
The police are already on the spot combing through the area and experts in bomb defusal from the Army have been rushed to the spot.
Pathankot has been on high alert since the deadly terrorist attack on its Indian Air Force Base last month, killing seven defence personnel.
Meanwhile, an alert has been sounded in Uttarakhand where reports have emerged of terror suspects on the loose in the state. (ANI)
