City Mayor Bonthu Rammohan today said Property Tax is the main source of revenue for the GHMC. He asked the citizens to pay Property Tax in time and become partners in development of the city. He also appreciated the work being carried out by staff connected with collection of the tax.
Rammohan said de-silting work of 300 nalas was under progress in the city, of which the work of 30 nalas was nearing completion. The work on all the nalas will be completed by the end of summer season.
At the All India Mayors Convention in New Delhi, Union Urban Development Minister M Venkaiah Naidu had responded positively on the problems being faced by the Mayors, he said, adding that the Union minister assured that he would take immediate action to sanction permission to all the projects of Hyderabad city.
