Penalties imposed on 6 KV officials in 3 years: Govt

New Delhi: Penalties were imposed on six officials of Kendriya Vidyalaya in as many cases in the last three years, HRD ministry said today.

In a written reply to a question in the Lok Sabha, HRD Minister Smriti Irani said in the last three years 44 cases were referred by the ministry to Commissioner, KV Sangathan, for investigation.

“Of these, 31 cases were closed after investigation and penalties imposed in six cases on six officials,” the minister said in her reply.

Replying to another question, Irani said according to the records of Ministry of Home Affairs, the number of foreign students who arrived in India was 93,693 in 2013, 44,620 in 2014 and 66,885 upto December 21, 2015.
