People creating tension in Kashmir will be treated harshly: Naqvi

New Delhi/Mumbai: Union Minister of Minority Affairs Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi has warned that people spreading unrest in Kashmir will be treated harshly.

“We have agreed to discuss this topic in the Rajya Sabha. Everyone wants peace and tranquility in Kashmir and we will not show any tenderness to people who are responsible for creating a hindrance in Kashmir’s development,” Naqvi told ANI

Naqvi also added that the message given by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday is a very serious one and forces trying to create unrest Kashmir will be defeated by the people of Kashmir themselves.

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Shaina NC said there are some crucial questions that need to be answered and added that it is India’s internal matter and should not be discussed internationally.

“I am sure in a mature democracy, we are ready to accept that there are certain lacunae in the system which need to be dealt with unity and political will, which our government has clearly shown,” she added.

On Tuesday, Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh said the government is ready to find the solution to the Kashmir solution with the support of other political parties.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi indicated his willingness to hold a dialogue under the framework of ‘Insaniyat (humanity), Jamhuriyat (democracy) and Kashmiriyat’.

He was addressing a public meeting at Bhabra in Madhya Pradesh, the birthplace of freedom fighter Chander Shekhar Azad.

The Prime Minister said that the PDP-BJP government in Kashmir and the Centre are working together to solve the state’s difficulties, but some people are unable to digest it and are clinging the path of destruction. (ANI)
