People don’t take ‘fake leader’ Rahul Gandhi seriously: BJP

New Delhi, Sept. 20 : The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Sunday said that the people of this country do not take Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi, who is a ‘fake leader’ seriously.

BJP spokesperson GVL Narasimha Rao hit back at Gandhi for his unwarranted criticism of Prime Minister Narendra Modi during the Congress’ ‘Kisan Mazdoor Samman’ rally at the Ramlila Ground here.

“Rahul Gandhi throughout the 10 years was faking in India. Rahul is a fake leader and also a fake Gandhi. Before commenting against a popular programme (Mann ki Baat) initiated by the Prime Minister, Rahul Gandhi must stop faking,” Narasimha Rao told ANI.

“The whole country has rejected his whole family,” he added while responding to Gandhi’s remark that the BJP-led NDA Government was deceiving the farming community.

The BJP leader alleged that the Gandhi family is least bothered about the farmers.

“They are a family of property dealers. Rahul Gandhi is a land grabber. Rahul has no relations with the farmers. He can’t tell the difference between paddy and wheat. It’s a big joke. People don’t take Rahul Gandhi seriously,” he added.

Narasimha Rao further said the entire nation, including the farmers and poor, are completely disgrantled by the politics of corruption, nepotism and land grabbing that has been pursued by the Congress in many states and also at the Centre.

Addressing the ‘Kisan Mazdoor Samman’ rally earlier, Gandhi launched a blistering attack on Prime Minister Modi and alleged that the BJP-led NDA was more concerned about the corporates and not the farmers.

Former prime minister Dr. Manmohan Singh and Congress president Sonia Gandhi also spoke at the rally, which was attended by many senior Congress leaders. (ANI)
