People will decide NDA’s fate: Yechury

As the Congress Party pats its own back on the issue of defeating ordinances seeking amendment in the Land Acquisition Act, CPM leaderSitaram Yechury on Sunday said they could say whatever they want as people knew everything.

We had even sought to amend the Land Bill during the UPA regime for greater benefits of the farmers, but it was defeated jointly by the Congress and the BJP, said Yechury.

He said the NDA government had already brought three ordinances to amend the Land Bill, while the fourth one would definitely be brought after the Bihar assembly elections.

Cautioning the people of Bihar against the BJP’s design, Yechury told them not to believe PM Modi as he would seek to amend the Land Bill once the poll was over.

After the Lok Sabha polls, the NDA had said the entire opposition could travel in a bus, but the Delhi polls reduced their number to fit into an auto-rickshaw, said Yechury.

He said the people would decide the fate of the Modi government as they knew after he came to power their economic exploitation was taking place at faster rate than ever, and thus, they would give their verdict against it.

Meanwhile, Yechury also sought from the government to declassify all documents concerning freedom fighter Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose and not to release specific files for political gains. (ANI)
