These people will not be granted Haj permit for 2 years – Find details

Dubai: General Authority of Islamic Affairs and Endowments declared that they will not issue Haj permits to the UAE expatriates for two years.

According to the news published in Khaleej Times, this restriction has been imposed after instructions from Haj authorities in Saudi Arabia.

As per the statistics of Saudi Arabia’s General Authority for Statistics, last year, a total of 1,862,909 pilgrims performed the Haj and out of them 1,325,372 were from the other countries. 537,537 were domestic pilgrims.

Saudi Gazette reported that in January this year, Saudi Arabia decided to lift quota system for domestic and foreign pilgrims which was imposed five years back.
