The photo of first electric bulb of Masjid-e-Nabvi got viral on Social media

The photo of the first electric bulb of Masjid-e-Nabvi which was erected during the period of Ottoman King, Sultan Abdul Hameed in 1907 got viral on social media.

It may be mentioned that the Nizam of Hyderabad had sent generators to maintain electric supply in Masjid-e-Nabvi.

A Saudi researcher, Mohammed Syed Al Wakeel told that during the period of Prophet Mohammed, his companion Hazrath Tameem-al-Dari, a Palestinian had lit the lamp with oil in 9th A.H. before that the dry leaves and branches of date plants were used for lighting Masjid-e-Nabvi.
