PM attends RSS meet

New Delhi, Sep 4 (IANS) Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday attended the concluding session of three-day BJP-RSS coordination meet held in the capital.

BJP president Amit Shah, union Home Minister Rajnath Singh, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj, Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar, Health Minister J.P. Nadda, Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari were among important party leaders who attended the meet held at a Madhya Pradesh government guest house here.

Others ministers included Urban Development Minister Venkaiah Naidu, Chemicals and Fertilisers Minister Ananth Kumar, Human Resource Development Minister Smriti Irani, Social Justice and Empowerment Minister Thawar Chand Gehlot.

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, who is also a member of BJP’s parliamentary board attended the meet on Friday.

BJP general secretaries Ram Madhav and Ram Lal were present throughout the three-day meet.

All organisations affiliated to the Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh (RSS) gave their feedback on major initiatives of various ministries during the meet.

In the last three days, the RSS has offered a number of suggestions to the government in areas like economy, education and national security.
