PM Modi given warm welcome at Begumpet airport

Prime Minister Narendra Modi was accorded a grand welcome when he arrived at old Begumpet airport here by a special aircraft on a one-day visit to Telangana State.

It was the first visit of Narendra Modi to Telangana after becoming Prime Minister. Immediately after his arrival, the Prime Minister left for Gajwel in Medak district by a helicopter to launch Telangana government’s popular scheme “Mission Bhagiratha” at Komatibanda. Modi’s helicopter was followed by two IAF helicopters.

Earlier, when the Prime Minister landed at the Begumpet airport, Governor E S L Narsimhan and Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao gave a warm welcome and presented a bouquet and a shawl. While KCR introduced the Prime Minister to his Cabinet colleagues, Mayor Bonthu Rammohan. BJP Telangana president Dr K Laxman introduced his party leaders to Narendra Modi.

Union ministers M venkaiah Naidu and Bandaru Dattatraya, BJP leaders G Kishan Reddy, Nagam Janardhan Reddy, NVSS Prabhakar, BJP State organization secretary Mantri Srinivas were among those welcomed the Prime Minister. A large number of BJP activists gathered outside the airport on the occasion. (NSS)
