PM Modi preaches ‘Bhedbhav’ without single Muslim candidate in UP

Fatehpur: Addressing a poll rally in Fatehpur in UP on Sunday, February 19,  PM Modi played communal card with Khabrastan-Shamshan remarks.

With his ‘Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas’ slogan, the Prime Minister tried to communalise the atmosphere for political gains with his discrimination remark..

“Agar kabristan me bijli hai to shamshaan me bhi honi chahiye. Agar Ramzan mein bijli aati hai, to Diwali me bhi aani chahiye, bhedbhav nahi hona chahiye (If there is electricity in the graveyard and during Ramzan, it must also be available in a crematorium and during Diwali. There should be no discrimination),” Modi had said.

He said “Gaon me kabristan banta hai to shamshaan bhi banna chahiye (If there is a ‘kabaristaan’ (graveyard), there should be a ‘shamshaan’ (cremation ground) too.”

Recently, Supreme Court of India made it illegal to fetch votes on the basis of caste, community, religion or language but politicians dares invoked religion to seek votes.
His communally sensitive statement evoked angry reactions on social media who felt that he has lots his hope from UP election therefore invoking religion. Here’s how Twitter reacted:
AIMIM president  Asaduddin Owaisi  series of tweets take a dig at Modi’s discrimination remark. “400 mein Ek bhi musalman candidate nahin Bhedbhav nahin hona chahiye,’ tweeted Owaisi. “Goa mein Beef available, Maharashtra mein Beef Ban,Bhedbav nhi hona chahiye Mitro,” he added.

CPM leader Sitaram Yechury also slammed the Prime Minister.
