PM Modi to reply to Motion of Thanks in Rajya Sabha

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will on Friday reply to the Motion of Thanks to President Pranab Mukherjee’s address in the Rajya Sabha.

The Prime Minister had yesterday in his address to the Lok Sabha sought to reach out to the Opposition for passage of key legislations, including the GST Bill, while targeting Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi without naming him.

Quoting former prime ministers Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, Indira Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi, he criticized Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi for his ‘Make in India’ jibe.

“We are mocking things like Make in India? This is for the nation. If there are shortcomings it may be shared and discussed,” he said while asserting that the former UPA regime failed to meet its set targets.

Criticising the Congress for disrupting the Parliament and stalling important legislations, Prime Minister Modi said the main Opposition party was doing so due to ‘inferiority complex’ of its top brass. (ANI)
