Police arrangements on Babri Masjid Demolition Day and Milad-un-Nabi

Hyderabad: 6th December is the “Black Day” in the history of India when Babri Masjid was demolished in 1992. Muslims register protests at various places in India to record their sentiments.

South Zone of City Police convened a meeting of the police officials of Rachakonda and Cyberabad under the stewardship DCP of South Zone Police, Mr. V. Satyarnarayana. On 6th December, protest meetings are likely to be held to protest demolition of Babri Masjid. On 12th December, Milad-un-Nabi (Prophet Mohammed’s birthday) would be celebrated. Giving the details, Mr. Satyanarayana told that on the occasion of Milad-un-Nabi, 7 Milad processions enter the south zone area from cyberabad and they form part of 10 larger processions. 50 smaller groups also take out procession.

In view of these celebrations, heavy police force is essential. Taking into consideration, south zone police is deploying 3000 policemen in the area.

Mr. M. Mahender Reddy, Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad attended a meeting held at Qadri Chaman to get the details of Milad processions.
