Police ban bursting of crackers on roads on counting day

City Police Commissioner M. Mahender Reddy has imposed a ban on bursting of crackers or throwing of fireworks on public roads and at public places on 5th February when counting of votes of GHMC elections will take place.

Stating that the ban was being imposed with a view to maintain public order, peace and tranquillity in the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad, the Commissioner warned that any person violating the orders would be liable for prosecution. This order will be in force for 24 hours from 6 AM on 5th February. (INN)
