Police exposed conspiracy: Hindu Sena threw Gobar on Ram banner which spark communal unrest in Shahbad

Shahabad/Gulbarga: Shahabad police on Tuesday confirmed that it was Sri Ramsena men who threw Gobar on ShriRam cut out in Shahabad.

According to DeccanDigest reports, among the seven accused, police detained six miscreants who allegedly confessed their link with Sri RamSena and some other right-wing organisations. One accused is still absconding.

Among the 6 arrested 5 belonged to majority community. The accused identified as Abhishek (19 years), Shrinivas (21), Vinod (22 years), Nilesh (24 Years), Timmanna (25 years) & Baba (22years).

To create communal unrest in the town during Ashura, a miscreant named Shiva posted inflammatory posts against Muslims on Facebook but was later arrested on complaint from Muslim community.

To create a counter emotion regarding the arrest of Shiva, the VHP and Ramsene played a communal fire game by accusing minority community of hurting Hindu sentiments.

But the police exposed their motive and the mischief mongers turned out to be the misguided miscreants of same community.

The Gulbarga SP N Shashi Kumar in a statement to the media said, “a youth had posted an objectionable post about Muslim community; he was arrested after the Muslim community objected and lodged an FIR. The accused did this to create communal tension, but we arrested him in 2 hours and that is why nothing much happened. So, on 12 Oct some 6-8 people who are with different organizations planned this activity to create communal tensions.”

“I do not mean to say that Shri RamSena activists have done this, what I mean to say that some of these people have identified themselves with Shri Ramsena,” he added.

“These people have done this thinking that they can’t be identified and arrested and therefore there will be major communal tensions which was averted by police which worked hard to crack the case. I congratulate my team and people of both the communities who kept their faith in police department”.
