Police nab two suspects in Uttam, Shabbir attack case

The Hyderabad police on Wednesday detained two suspects in connection with the attack on Congress leaders N Uttam Kumar Reddy and Mohammed Ali Shabbir at Mirchowk Police Station on Tuesday. The two were identified as Sayyed Kashap and Shaik Obaid. The Meer Pet police detained them and shifted them to South Zone DCP office today.
Speaking on the occasion, South Zone DCP Sathyanarayana said they will produce the accused in the Court on Thursday. He said they were interrogating the accused and the interrogation will be completed by Thursday morning. He said Kashap belongs to Old Malakpet and Shaik Obaid belongs to Kalapather. He said they identified the accused while examining the video footage.
Balala Gets Bail
On the other hand, the police filed a case against Malakpet MLA Balala. The Police arrested Balala after the latter’s attack on Deputy Chief Minister Mahmood Ali’s son at TRS party office in Azampura. The police registered cases under IPC 341, 448, 427, 506, 147 and 149 sections. The police have produced Balala at Nampally Court today. The Court has granted bail after a trial. (NSS)
