Police rescue kidnapped nursery boy within 24 hours

New Delhi: A four-year-old nursery standard boy, who was kidnapped from Mathura on Sunday, was rescued by the police on Monday and two persons were arrested in this connection.

On a tip off, a joint team of five police stations gheraoed in Shivasha state colony on Goverdhan road to nab kidnappers Ashok Chaudhary alias Hanni of Salempur and Raj alias Monu of Varun Vihar colony. After a brief exchange of fire, the boy was rescued unhurt from them, SSP, Mathura, Babloo Kumar said.

He said Raj received bullet injury in his leg.

Ansh Yadav was kidnapped when a school van had dropped him and his cousin Jai Yadav at the gate of a street leading to his home on Sonkha Road in Azad Nagar area.

He is a student of Raman Lal Shorawala school.

“It was a joint operation of SWAT team which included Kotwali police ,STF, Krishna Nagar reporting police chauki and surveillance team,” Kumar said.

The kidnappers were planning to take the child to some “safer” place, he said
