VHP leader Sadhvi Prachi was thrashed and injured by the policeman last week while protesting against alleged eve-teasing incidents in Bareilly was admitted to a Meerut hospital in an injured condition.
Prachi, who is known to stoke up controversies with her groundless remarks accused SP leader Azam Khan of directing an attack on her by the police.
Prachi said, “I along with my few saints were attacked while we were going for a Mahapanchayat in Shergarh of Bareilly, where over 150 girls have left studies owing to eve teasing but was attacked by the police on the orders of SP Urban Development Minister Mohammad Azam Khan”.
Bareilly policeman arrested her and before releasing on bail, Prachi was warned by the police that if still she is willing to go for the panchayat, she should be prepared to stay in jail for the whole of her life.
The administration of LLRM Medical College where Sadhvi Prachi is recuperating from injuries on Tuesday rolled back its decision to discharge her following protests by her supporters.
