Political pressure is being mounted on Waqf Board to stop efforts to protect Masjid Nana Bagh land. Some key leaders belonging to ruling party are trying to disrupt Waqf Board’s efforts to stop illegal construction and restore the land.
It is said that some leaders have advised Waqf Board officials to avoid police complaint to stop construction. Waqf Board has completed identification of 5 acre 10 guntas of Masjid Nana Bagh land and has completed survey of buildings constructed on the said land so that notices could be issued to them.
Chief Executive Officer Mohammed Asadullah sought report by sending a survey team to Masjid Nana Bagh. 5 acre and 10 gunta land has been identified and it is likely that notices will be issued to all building located on the said land including Kirloskar Hospital, Lok Ayukt etc.
