Hyderabad: Former Congress MP of Kareem Nagar, Mr. Poonam Prabhakar was refused permission by the police for his proposed hunger strike to pressurize the Govt. for starting medical college in the district.

Mr. KCR during his first visit to Kareem Nagar had promised to establish Medical College in the district but despite the lapse of three years, he did not fulfil his promise. Instead of this, he not only gave permission for a medical college at Siddipet, he also sanctioned money for it. Kareem Nagar District had given KCR political patronage. It is not appropriate for him to neglect Kareem Nagar. He said that in the next election, the voters of Kareem Nagar would teach him a lesson.
