Prayers begin at Masjid Rahmatul lil Aalameen within 24 hours of laying its foundation

Hyderabad: Residents of Gandhamguda, near Tipu Khan Bridge had to travel 3 kms to offer daily prayers, since there was no single masjid in the locality which has over 400 houses of Muslims. Local Muslims along with Gandhamguda Muslim Welfare Society was struggling for three years to construct the masjid. It is said that local Muslims purchased 200 sqyds land two years ago and planned to construct masjid but due to hurdles created by communal forces the masjid could not be constructed. Written permission for offering 5 times prayer was issued by Sarpanch Maalti Nagraj on the representation of local Muslims but still construction of masjid could not be done without the cooperation of Waqf board.

In this scenario local Muslims approached Managing Editor Siasat Mr. Zaheeruddin Ali Khan and narrated the whole story. President Deccan Waqf Protection Society Mr. Osman bin Mohammed Al-Hajari, along with Mr. Aziz Pasha, ex-MP approached Mr. Mohammed Asadullah, CEO Waqf Board and made representation for written permission for construction of masjid. On which State Waqf Board issued written permission via no 43/P/RR/16.

Siasat editor Mr. Zahid Ali Khan laid the foundation of the Masjid on Friday, January 20, 2017. Mr. Farooq Husain MLC, Mr. Ali Masqati TDP leader, Peerancheru Sarpanch, Maalti Nagraj attended as chief guests.

The masjid was completed within 24 hours of laying its foundation.

Mr. Zaheeruddin Ali Khan Managing editor Siasat along with Mr. Osman Al-Hajari and Mr. Azmatullah Khan Retd DSP visited the Masjid Rahmatul lil Aalameen the very next day and offered Asr prayer there.
