Preliminary written test for SIs posts on April 17

The Preliminary Written Test (PWT) for recruitment to the posts of SCTSIs (Civil/AR etc.,) and SCT-2016 will be held across Telangana State on April 17. For the post of SCT SI (Commnn) too, the PWT will be held on the same at Hyderabad/Cyberabad.

The Telangana State Level Police Recruitment Board (TSLPRB) informed the candidates that their photo and two fingerprint biometrics would be collected while they ‘Sitting’ and ‘Writing’ the exam. The biometric device will display the photo, Hall Ticket No. candidate name, regional centre and Centre Code & Address.

In this test, biometric devices are being used for capturing/collection of finger prints of index fingers and photo of the candidates, which will be used for comparison during the subsequent Physical Measurement Test, Physical Efficient Test and Final Written Examination, etc., The biometric devices are being used for the first time to prevent impersonation and to ensure fair and transparent conduct of the examination for the prospective candidate. Anybody tried to indulge in any illegal activity, legal action will be taken against such persons as per law, the TSLPRB said.

Candidates have been asked to be present at the examination centre at least one hour before the examination. They will not be allowed into the hall if they come to the Center late even by minute.

While the exam goes on, the Biometric Invigilator, will enroll the candidates by collecting their finger prints of both Index Fingers and photo and after successful enrolment, the Biometric Invigilators will obtain acknowledgement from the candidates in the Photo Attendance Sheets.

Meanwhile, the TSLPRB said that 348 candidates have filled the application form and not clicked the submit button. Representations have been received from the candidates with a request to issue the Hall Ticket. “Hall Tickets will be issued to all these candidates and they may download the Hall Tickets today night,” the TSLPRB Chairman said in a press release on Friday.

In addition, emails have been received from 310 candidates stating that they have not furnished information about writing both the exams i.e. SI (Civil etc.) and SI (Communication). For these candidates also, the revised Hall Tickets will be issued to write both exams in the same centre at Hyderabad. (INN)
