Hyderabad: President of Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee, Capt. Uttam Kumar Reddy alleged that KCR is cheating the Muslims. He declared that Congress party would exert pressure for the implementation of 12% reservation for Muslims.
Mr. Mohammed Ali Shabbir made a power point presentation at Gandhi Bhavan giving the details of the history of Muslim reservations. Speaking on this occasion, Capt. Reddy told that KCR had promised to provide 12% reservation to Muslims within four months of TRS assuming charge in Telangana. He pointed out that Congress had promised to offer 5% reservations to Muslims which it fulfilled within two months of assuming charge. On instructions from High Court and Supreme Court, Congress Govt. provided 4% reservations to Muslims in the fields of job and educational institutions which are being implemented successfully even now. He also said that Congress party would exert its pressure on the Govt. for providing 12% reservations to STs.
