Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao today directed the officials to prepare a Rabi Action Plan and also irrigation plan. At a review meeting at here he instructed the officials to complete ongoing projects and review the lakes restoration program of Mission Kakatiya in second phase.
A meeting of chief engineers will be conducted on Oct 18 to discuss the related issues. He asked to prepare a plan of action to ensure that single drop is not wasted and supplied to the crops instead. Harish directed to release waters for 9 lakh acres under SRSP and waters for 6.40 lakh acres under Nagarjuna Sagar left canal and complete the related works expeditiously. (NSS)
