New Delhi: President Pranab Mukherjee will visit Varanasi on Thursday, where he will deliver a special lecture on centenary year of the Banaras Hindu University (BHU).
According to a BHU press release, he will deliver his speech at the Swantantrata Bhawan at 6 p.m.
Uttar Pradesh Governor Ram Naik will be the Guest of Honour and Chancellor of Banaras Hindu University Karan Singh will preside the function.
The President will also attend Ganga Saptami at the Dshaswamedh Ghat of Varanasi in the early morning hours.
However, district information officer said that the President may visit Kashi Vishwanath temple also, before leaving for Delhi.
Elaborate security arrangements have been made in the temple town in view his two days visit. (ANI)
