Presidential candidate Meira Kumar says Siasat has no parallel in welfare activities

Hyderabad: Presidential candidate, Ms. Meira Kumar was very much impressed by the publication of news items in Siasat Urdu Daily. She was meeting editors of newspapers and TV channels at Exhibition Club, Hyderabad. She expressed her anxiety on the present situation prevailing in the country. She said that Muslims and Dalits feel themselves unsafe. Decisions of Mr. Modi and ambitions of communal elements have become a great danger to the democratic values and secular fabric of the country. In order to resolve these issues, 17 political parties nominated her to contest presidential election. She thanked Congress President and other parties who are supporting her. She said that she is fighting the battle of principles and values. She hopes that she would get maximum votes on the basis of voice of conscience.

On this occasion, TS Congress President, Capt. Uttam Kumar Reddy introduced Mr. Amer Ali Khan, News Editor of Siasat Urdu Daily to Ms. Meira Kumar and said that Siasat is the largest Urdu newspaper in the country. Its policy is secular. It is impartial in publishing the news items. Siasat is not confined to the publication of news alone but it has no parallel in its welfare activities of the community.

Meira Kumar was very much impressed by the welfare activities of Siasat Urdu Daily and said that newspapers like Siasat are required in the present day context. She congratulated the management of Siasat Urdu Daily for exposing the facts to the public.
