Presidential election: Kovind visits Hyderabad today

Hyderabad: CM of Telangana State, Mr. K. Chandrasekhara Rao has instructed the public representatives and TS Ministers to offer grand welcome to Mr. Ram Nath Kovind on his arrival in Hyderabad today and also to make his program successful.

Dy. CMs, Mr. K. Sri Hari and Mr. Mohammed Mahmood Ali, Ministers, Mr. T. Harish Rao, Mr. E. Rajinder, Mr. M. Narasimha Reddy, MP, Dr. K. Keshav Rao, TRS Parliamentary leader in Lok Sabha, Mr. Jitender Reddy will welcome, Mr. Kovind at the airport.

At 12:15 p.m., a meeting of TRS legislature party would be held at Jalvihar in which Mr. Kovind will participate. Mr. KCR and other leaders of TRS would welcome Presidential candidate. CM will introduce MPs, MLAs and MLCs to Mr. Kovind. Mr. Kovind will join lunch with the TRS leaders. He would then proceed to airport where CM and other leaders would say good bye to him. TRS MPs, MLAs and MLCs, chairmen of various corporations, Mayors of Municipalities and Municipal corporators have been invited to participate in the meeting.

It may be mentioned that TRS had demanded to nominate a dalit leader to the post of President of India after which Mr. Modi nominated Mr. Kovind. State Ministers and MPs of TS met Mr. Kovind in New Delhi and assured him of their support. In Telangana Assembly TRS have 119 members which include 80 MLAs of TRS.
