Demanding prevention of saffronisation of education, Democratic Teachers Federation Telangana organised a protest meeting at Sundarayya Vignana Kendram. Prof. Hara Gopal, K Srinivas, CSR Prasad, Narayana Reddy, Raji Reddy, Venkat, Kashtaiah and others addressed the meeting.
Prof. Haragopal said that rising saffronisation of education has been proved damaging for the secular character of the country. He declared prevention of rising saffronisation in the name of reforms of educational system as the need of the hour. He further said that due to lack of interest of state government with regard to government schools and colleges, private educational institutions are having sway over the educational field. Telangana government schools need to be revived, he said.
