Prior commitments stop Sonakshi from taking up `Mubaraka` with Arjun Kapoor

New Delhi: If recent buzz is to be believed, actor Sonakshi Sinha will not be seen opposite Arjun Kapoor in Anees Bazmee’s upcoming directorial ‘Mubaraka’ due to ‘prior professional commitments.’

PinkVilla quoted Sonakshi’s spokesperson, as saying, “As the official publicist for Ms. Sonakshi Sinha, we would like to clarify that the said film Mubaraka with Arjun Kapoor is not being done by her due to prior professional commitments and there is no truth about any other reasons for declining the film project.”

However, earlier it was reported that the ‘Dabangg’ girl had showed the interest in the film after hearing a script narration but has now walked out of the project as she did not want to do a small part in a male-dominated film.

Sona and Arjun had worked together in the 2014 movie ‘Tevar’ and at the time the rumour mill were agog with gossip that two were dating. Reportedly, they broke up post ‘Tever’ release.

Sonakshi will be next seen in A.R. Murugadoss’ ‘Akira’ , Sunhil Sippy’s ‘Noor’ and in ‘Force 2’.(ANI)
