Jind:A prisoner escaped from police custody while he was being taken to jail, following which two policemen have been arrested on the charges of dereliction of duty, police said.
Kaithal Sub-inspector Satyabhan had filed complaint in this regard against ASI Samsher Singh and two other policemen – Azad and Harish.
The trio was taking prisoner Rabindra Singh to jail from PGI, Rohtak, where he was admitted for treatment on Friday. He escaped from their custody near Jind bus stand, a police spokesperson said.
While ASI Singh has already been arrested, Harish was nabbed today, the spokesperson said.
The arrested duo was being interrogated, he added.
