Probe into the scam in connection with Wi-Fi installation in Maulana Azad National Urdu University is complete. 3-member committee led by Prof. Sulaiman Siddiqui was conducting the probe into the scam. According to reliable sources the Investigative Committee has identified several irregularities through which action can be taken against the guilty. Executive Council of the university is authorised to take decision on the basis of report and recommendations of the Investigative Committee. Dr. Aslam Parvez had decided to conduct probe into the matter after taking charge as Vice Chancellor of the University.

According to sources supporters of ex-Vice Chancellor Mohammed Miyan are trying to influence Dr. Aslam Parvez however Dr. Parvez is said to be trying not to yield to pressure. He has sought details regarding appointments made in the university to verify the certificates submitted at the time of appointment. Some professors of the university have to say that Vice Chancellor faces opposition from various fronts in connection with probe into irregularities. It is said that university has more than 14 non-Urdu speaking professors though one of the criteria for selection is that appointee must know Urdu.
