Hyderabad: Student should proceed further with full confidence in his studies. Whatever facilities are available today should be made use of completely. If you want to become an Engineer, be a good Engineer. Today, more than 70% Engineers are not employable but you should find a place among the 30%. These thoughts were expressed by Mr. Amer Ali Khan, News Editor of Siasat Urdu Daily while addressing a large gathering of EAMCET Minority candidates before counseling.
The pre-counseling program was organized at Royal Regency Garden, Asif Nagar yesterday by Siasat Urdu Daily. Continuing his speech, Mr. Amer Ali Khan told that 4% reservation policy is being implemented for Muslims but if 12% reservation is given by the present TRS Govt., our percentage in education and employment would increase enormously. He also told that it is necessary to be aware of the certificates and other documents for attending counseling programs. He advised the parents of the students to make the right decision for the bright future of their children. Whichever course they select, they should excel in it. There is not dearth of talents among the Muslim youths. Citing the example of Urdu medium student of Koratla, Kareemnagar, Mohammed Junaid, Mr. Amer Ali Khan told that after getting the top rank in SSC, he completed Intermediate and Engineering course. Now he is working for Infosys where he is getting Rs. 50, 000 per month. The students follow his example.
The chief guest of the function, Prof. Mohammed Akbar Ali Khan, former VC of Telangana University highlighted the system of web counseling. He advised the students and their parents to be aware of the good college and better course before exercising their options. He informed that due to the present Industrial Policy of the Govt. of India, Mechanical Engineering subject is in heavy demand.
Former Professor of Agricultural University, Dr. Abdur Rahman gave the details of admissions in B. Sc (Agriculture). Prof. Syed Ismail highlighted the admission process for Veterinary and Horticulture courses. Mr. Khaja Ali Shoaib highlighted six major Engineering branches and 26 minor Engineering branches and told the students to exercise their web options for more than one course and more than one college.
Mr. Manzoor Ahmed, Coordinator of the program appealed to the students to seek admissions in non-minority colleges through 4% reservations.
