IT Project Manager – PMO

Job Description:

Centralize and communicate with the IT management. Apprise the Project Status / Project Findings of various projects. Manage a central repository of the program scope and update changes.

To create and support core PMO processes (Control documents, Reporting, Managing Risks and Issues, Change Management, Planning and Dependency Management).

Play a proactive role in the promotion of project management methods and standards, implementation of good project management practice, and the monitoring of certain projects.

Produce regular and ad hoc Senior Executive Reports, monitor and ensure that
projects comply with the Governance framework.

Take lead in ensuring that the project has effective progress in places to identify, monitor and resolve changes.

Act as the custodian and guardian of all master copies of the Projects Artefacts.

Ensure that current and future projects are equipped with enough human resources of the right skills, at the time they are needed, and that those human resources are used as efficiently as possible.

Ensure the effective management of the projects stakeholders. Communicates with all areas affected by the project to include internal subject matter experts and external corporate departments within Finisar.

Ability to assess and evaluate internal processes for improvement opportunities
Advanced Excel Skills with Reporting & Analytical Abilities
Proficient at using other MS Office Tools (Word, Project, PowerPoint and Visio)
Proficiency at Project management Tools (MS Project, PPM Studio etc…)
PMP / PRINCE 2 certification preferred
ITIL Foundation Certification preferred
Knowledge of CMMI standard would be an advantage
Should be a self-starter.

Must have good training skills
Ability to work in ambiguous situations
Understanding on business needs, IT landscape, organizational goals etc.
Should be open to work out of office hours to support global team
