Alleging that the redesigning of irrigation projects was for corruption, former Union Minister S Jaipal Reddy has said he has evidences in this regard.
Narayanpet-Kodangal Jala Sadhana Samithi organized a round table here on Monday. S Jaipal Reddy, Telangana Political JAC president Prof. Kodandaram, retired Justice Chandra Kumar, former Minister DK Aruna, CPM State secretary Thammineni Veerabhadram, BJP senior leader Dr Nagam Janardhan Reddy and others participated in the meeting.
The meeting has decided to take up a padayatra to mount pressure on the government to take up Narayanapet-Kodangal Lift Irrigation Project as per G.O.No.69 issued in United Andhra Pradesh State.
Expressing concern saying that the Palamuru will become a desert in case the government failed to provide irrigation water to the district, Prof. Kodandaram said that the JAC will announce its action plan soon on Palamuru projects. He made it clear that he has no political interest except the State’s development and reach the developmental fruits to all. (NSS)
