Create an active vendor database- identify new vendors, periodically assess performance & give feedback.
Identify alternative / new products in the market, undertake cost -benefit analysis and present to the management.
Handle end to end procurement of the assigned material and ensure timely delivery of materials at sites and timely payment to suppliers.
Enhance value of the product / services and make annual rate contracts obtain alternate products / vendors or substituting the OEM’s.
Control Inventory by optimizing lot size and reducing delivery lead time.
Transfer excess dead stock to other sites.
Create Relationships with vendor by finding out their performance from market and undertake joint.
Improvement projects with them.
Effective coordination with all sites. Regular site visits.
Creating strong networking within and outside the organization.
Continuous monitoring, review & taking timely corrective action to achieve the targets.
