Rahul Gandhi should enter into ‘mature politics’: BJP

New Delhi, Nov. 25 : The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Wednesday alleged that Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi, who does not know about the realities of the country, should enter into serious mature politics.

“Rahul Gandhi does not have the capability of leading the youth of this country, leave aside the whole country as such. He should stop this tailoring business and should enter into serious mature politics. This ‘suit boot ki sarkaar’ is something , which I firmly believe he has overplayed,” BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra told ANI.

“It is but natural that Rahul Gandhi does not know about the realities of the country. He hardly stays in ground so he does not realise that ‘Make in India’ and Swachch Bharat Abhiyan is the aspiration of the country and that’s the reason as to why Rahul Gandhi was snubbed by the young students of the country today,” he added.

Patra further said the government is working consistently for the development of the nation and added that the results could be seen now.

“Most important is discussions, debate and consensus on the floor of the Parliament. If they have any kind of issues, they should come up with constructive ideas which can be debated on the floor of the Parliament. Blame game outside the Parliament is not democracy,” he added.

Echoing similar sentiments, another BJP leader Nalin Kohli said that the youth in the programme today showed Rahul Gandhi the reality and pointed out how diverse from reality his perception was and how he was not speaking on facts.

“He found himself in an embarrassing position in issue like Swachch Bharat Abhiyan. Rahul Gandhi will have to determine and make up his mind whether he would like to join the movement where positive change is taking place in India,” Kohli told ANI.

“As an opposition party leader, play that role in positive development or would he like to be moving in a direction of opposing even good things, while the people out there want change,” he added.

The Congress vice-president earlier today criticised Prime Minister Modi’s pet ‘Swachh Bharat’ and ‘Make in India’ campaigns while addressing the students at the Mount Carmel College in Bengaluru.

During the question and answer session, Gandhi spoke on a range of subjects with a common idea that the government was failing on all fronts. (ANI)
