Rahul Gandhi targets Raje, demands CBI probe into Dalit girl’s rape case

Barmer (Rajasthan): Training his guns on the BJP Government in Rajasthan, Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi today demanded a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe into the rape and murder case of a Dalit girl in Bikaner last month.

Gandhi, who met the family members of the 17-year-old Dalit girl, said it is the responsibility of Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje to give them justice.

“It’s a matter of humanity. The victim’s family feels injustice has been done with them, they are only asking for justice. It is the responsibility of the Chief Minister to give them justice, which can only be done by a CBI probe as the family feels that they won’t get justice,” he told the media here.

The Dalit girl was allegedly raped by a teacher in an institute in Bikaner after which she was found dead in a water tank last month under mysterious circumstances. (ANI)
