Rahul reaches Jhansi, attacks Modi for false promises

Lucknow: The ‘Kisan Mahayatra’ across Uttar Pradesh undertaken by Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi reached Jhansi late on Saturday from Mahoba where he held a road show, mingled with the crowds and in his speech, again attacked Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

He said that Modi had made different promises to different people but charged him with not coming true on even a single promise made during the Lok Sabha elections. He also alleged that Modi was indifferent towards the poor and was tilted in favour of big businessmen and rich industrialists.

Demanding a loan waiver for farmers, Gandhi assured the farmers that if the Congress came to power in Uttar Pradesh, all their loans would be waived off. He also said that he would take their demand letter to the prime minister.
