Ramana chary releases bonalu brochure

Government Advisor KV Ramana Chary today released a brochure of Mahankali Bonalu festival of Akkanna-Madanna Temple of old city at his chambers in Secretariat here.

Speaking on the occasion, he said that the Goddess will bless the people with prosperity and peaceful atmosphere in the city. The Mahankali temple has been conducting the festivities for 68 years in a grand manner involving people, he said, adding that he released the brochure for third consecutive time. Ramana Chary also said that he has been associating with old city since his stint at vice chairman of Kuli Kutub Shahi Urban Development Authority. “I hope that the Goddess will bless the people for successful completion of the Bonalu festivities from July 22 to August 1”. Khadi Board former vice-chairman, Niranjan, Temple vice president Raja Rathnam and secretary Dattatreya were present.

The State Government today planted 25,000 saplings in 12 villages under Keesara Mandal of Ranga Reddy District. The program was led by DPO of RR dist Aruna, MDO Vinay Kumar, Tahsildar Venkat Upender Reddy, MPP Sujatha, and sarpanches all villages  and public participated. Vinay Kumar said the target of plantaing 50,000 saplings in Keesara Mandal will be completed by Tuesday. (NSS)
