Ramzan arrangements finalized, every district gets special funds

Hyderabad: Govt. employees can leave their offices an hour before the scheduled time. Permission would be given to the shops to keep open till late at nights.

Govt. of Telangana has decided to improve the facilities during the Ramzan this year. Special funds would be released for each district for the repair works to Masajid. Uninterrupted power would be ensured.

According to Mr. Syed Omer Jaleel, IAS, Secretary, Dept. of Minorities Welfare, a review meeting would be held on 8th May in which Dy. CM, Mr. Mohammed Mahmood Ali, Peoples’ Representative of the city and the Ministers belonging to city would participate. The officials of the concerned departments would also attend the meeting. Instructions would be issued to the officials for the completion of works.

It may be mentioned that CM of Telangana State, Mr. KCR honours Ramazan. During the past three years, he has taken special interest for making arrangements. In order to get the participation of one and all,   arrangements have been made for Iftaar in the selected Masajid of every Assembly constituency in the State and also to distribute clothes.

Cleanliness and traffic regulation would be maintained around Masajid. Last year, Rs. 5 crore was allotted for Hyderabad City. It is expected that this year amounts would be increased. The Dept. of Minorities Welfare has prepared an action plan for all the departments which would be handed over to them in the proposed review meeting.

In order to ensure uninterrupted power supply in Old City, a team of higher officials would be posted to attend any emergency situation. Mobile transformers would be kept ready.

Mr. Omer Jaleel assured that during ‘Sehar’ and ‘Iftaar’, power would be supplied without any interruption. For the smooth functioning of the departments, a coordination committee of higher officials of the departments would be constituted which would visit from time to time to review the situation. He also said that better arrangements would be made for offering prayers at Eidgahs and Masajids this year.
