Recruitment to various categories of vacancies soon in GHMC

Hyderabad: It is expected that GHMC will fill up the vacant post of various categories in its town planning section. It is understood that CM of Telangana State, Mr. KCR has issued instructions to GHMC officials to fill up the vacant posts of Section officers and Building Inspectors in Town Planning section. Public Service Commission is taking appropriate steps to fill up these posts.

It is reported that in the city, nearly 5000 construction permissions are issued through GHMC and at the same time, the extension of roads work also takes place. The responsibility of regularizing the developmental plans of GHMC rests with town planning section.

According to sources, there are 412 sanctioned posts but only 130 employees are working now. There are 189 posts of planning inspectors and section officers which is causing hindrance to the functioning to town planning section. Unauthorized constructions cannot be monitored if there is less number of employees. Mr. KTR, Minister of Municipal Administration and Mr. B. Ram Mohan, Mayor had already requested the CM for filling up the vacant posts.

It is understood that Mr. KCR had a meeting with GHMC Commissioner, Dr. B. Janardhan Reddy and instructed him to fill up the vacant posts. The Commissioner had apprised the CM that due to shortage of staff, it is not possible to function properly. If the vacant posts are filled up, unauthorized constructions could be checked and the work pertaining to extension of roads could also be accelerated.
