Kanpur: Refusing to dance in a ritual, man pushed his wife off the terrace in a marriage function in Dighwat Village of Chillaghat town in Banda District on Saturday night.
Vishakha Tiwari, 28 hailing from Khaptiha village was forced to dance with her Husband Ajay and other guests, refusing which, Ajay who was in a drunken state pushed her off the terrace, which fractured both her legs and also injured her hands and stomach.
Vishakha along with her husband attended her cousin’s wedding ceremony in Dighwat Village. It was during the dance programme in ‘kalewa’ ritual, he forced to dance.
Police recorded her statement and registered a case against Ajay, waiting to arrest him.
She was admitted to the district hospital.
Sanjay Singh, Station House Officer, Civil Lines, said, “The police have recorded her statement and further investigations are on”, as reported in Times of India.
