Required Global Commodity Leader in United States

Job Description:
Purpose This position will function as the business and industry sourcing expert for the Raw Material commodity for Surface.

Responsibilities This position is tasked with developing and implementing comprehensive commodity strategies, achieving cost out targets, managing supply risk, managing relationships with strategic suppliers, and transforming the supply base for Surface.
In the role of Global Commodity Leader – Raw Material you will:

Drive spend analysis across Surface and identify strategic opportunities for additional synergy and leverage
Be a focal point for the business and lead the development and execution of long term, global commodity strategies to secure the lowest competitive cost position, and ensure business needs are fulfilled
Drive the integration of strategies into the design and/or manufacturing objectives as well as supporting Oil & Gas market strategies
Develop and Manage complex and global supplier / buyer contractual and strategic relationships
Drive capacity planning to ensure future business needs are anticipated and supported
Develop strategies and drive negotiations to achieve stated goals and objectives, partners cross-functionally in accordance with the strategy, drive supplier selection, development, and overall supplier management
Drive Sourcing initiatives including Buy GE, best cost country (BCC), direct material productivity (DMP), supply base optimization, sole source reduction, cycle reduction, on time delivery and quality improvements, Six Sigma / Lean, cash flow improvement, and margin accretion
Be an integral leadership member of the Sourcing organization

Requirements:
Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university
Minimum 5 years of Manufacturing, and/or Sourcing Experience
