Kolkata: In a reshuffle in the IAS cadre in West Bengal today, several senior officials have been given new assignments.
Home department officials said Power Secretary Gopal Krishnan has been asked to take over as Planning and Development Secretary, replacing Subesh Das who has retired.
Industry Secretary S Kishore has been made power secretary, while managing director of West Bengal Industrial Development Corporation (WBIDC) Krishna Gupta will take over the former’s position.
CEO, Kolkata Metropolitan Development Authority (KMDA), Surendra Gupta will now take over as MD, WBIDC, while Ghulam Ansari will take charge as CEO, KMDA, the officials said.
