Retd. fireman died in quarrel with cops

Hyderabad: A retired fireman died of heart attack due to alleged criminal behaviour of policemen on duty. The man and the cops had an altercation over playing loud music at a late-night marriage ceremony. During the brawl policemen allegedly shoved the man.

According to Amberpet police 55-year-old, Mahesh Kumar was the resident of Chilkalguda. Loud music was being played at his resident. On receipt of complaint two policemen _ head constable Khaled and home guard Suresh _ reached the spot and tried to stop the music.

Satish Kumar intervened and asked the policemen to wait for 10 minutes after which they would stop the music. However, others in the family got into an argument with the head constable. During the fight, home guard Suresh allegedly pushed Satish hard and the latter collapsed unconscious. He did not respond to CPR.
