Revanth files petition in HC over sale of water to corporates

Hyderabad: Telangana TDP working president A Revanh Reddy today filed a petition in the High Court seeking direction to the State government to stop selling water to corporate firms.

In his petition, Revanth Reddy informed the High Court that the Hyderabad Metro Water Supply was selling some 17,000 crore liters of water to distilleries, cool drink and liquor firms when the State was facing severe drinking water problems.

The High Court admitted the petition and adjourned the hearing. (NSS)
